Glossary, part 2

If you want to be a good poker player and plan on entering poker tournaments you'll want to be impressive. Therefore, it's good to understand the terminology. In another tip we started with a glossary. Here are some more terms that are useful to know:

  • B&M: Brick and mortar. Could be used for any non-online poker, but usually refers to a casino.
  • BB: Big blind. Brick: A card that looks like it helps no one.
  • Bubble: The point in poker tournaments right before the players start getting paid. The player who is the last to go out without getting paid is said to have “bubbled.”
  • Button: The player who acts last on every betting round except for before the flop. This is the best position.
